Episode One is dedicated to JASPER (originally named Shadow) the precious black kitten adopted by my niece Kira, whom she sadly lost last Saturday (3/30/24) due to a urinary tract illness. Jasper has crossed the Rainbow Bridge to join his fellow feline relatives.
This includes our dear black cat Shadow (originally named Eclipse) whom we adopted after he found me wandering in the neighborhood, having been let loose by someone who moved away. Shadow shared our lives for 15.5 years. We lost Shadow on 4/21/21 and we did not adopt our Whiskers’ Edge THREE BROTHERS until 8/22/24.
Also joined by the sweet white cat DOMINO, with a spot on his nose, resembling a domino as a lady called him at the shelter prior to his adoption. We rescued Domino after returning to the shelter on the second day to learn he was on the “kill list” for the following Monday morning, after expressing our desire to adopt him at the LAST HOUR on Sunday. We saved him and he lived another 4 years. We were told he was 10 years old, but we suspected he was (pawsibly 🐾 ) possibly much older. One thing we loved about Domino is that he didn’t meow when we first met him, unlike our other cat Shadow, whom we thought needed a friend. On the car ride home, as we began to drive, we said to Domino, “We hope you like music?!” And Domino responded with his first MEOW, which we understood as a resounding “YES.”
Rest in peace, dear family feline members. We will always love and miss you.
