Where It All Began

Every great story has a beginning, and ours started with three little kittens, a storm drain, and a whole lot of hope.

In the spring of 2023, three brothers were born on the streets of Gilbert, Arizona. Their mother was a beautiful tabby cat doing her best to survive outdoors. And although they shared the same beginnings, each kitten had a personality all his own.

There was BObeane, better known as Bo, the handsome little black cat; Jovi, the charming tabby; and Toulouse, the fluffy, long-haired ginger with just the right amount of spice.

Life wasn’t easy for this little family.

Their mother had found shelter for her kittens in a storm drain, but the world outside was full of danger. Passing cars, rumbling trucks, unpredictable weather, and the daily search for food and water made every day an unwanted adventure.

Fortunately, their story was about to take a much happier turn.

In early June 2023, a kind cat person rescued the three brothers and took them into foster care, which is exactly what every kitten should have.

Their foster mom also gave them something special: their names.

Inspired by Disney’s 1972 film The Aristocats, the names were a loving tribute to a movie she and her late mother had enjoyed together. What began as a cherished family memory became part of the kittens’ own story, connecting generations through a shared love of cats.

Then, on 22 August 2023, the next chapter commenced.

Still just kittens, really. Bo, Jovi, and Toulouse all joined the family and brought three very different characters, an endless amount of curiosity, and more mischief than we could have imagined.

Today, those once-tiny street kittens are three big, happy, thoroughly loved cats living with us in Cave Creek, Arizona.

They’ve traded storm drains for comfortable beds, uncertainty for security, and life on the streets for a home filled with love.

And somewhere along the way, these three remarkable brothers inspired something none of us could have predicted.
